Plumbing emergencies don’t wait for business hours. A burst pipe at 2 AM, a sewage backup on a holiday weekend, an overflowing toilet that won’t stop. These situations cause damage fast, and every minute matters.

When you need us, we show up. Our trucks arrive fully equipped to assess and resolve most emergency situations on the first visit so you’re not waiting for parts or a second trip while water damage spreads.
Call Now (801) 335-9197Emergencies We Handle
When something goes wrong with your plumbing and it can’t wait, we’re the call to make. Here are the most common emergencies we respond to and what’s at stake with each one.
Burst or leaking pipes
A burst pipe can release gallons of water per minute into your home. The damage compounds fast. Floors, walls, ceilings, furniture, electronics, and personal belongings can all be affected within the first hour. If a pipe bursts, shut off your main water supply immediately and call us. We’ll locate the failure, stop the water, and repair or replace the damaged section. Utah winters make this especially common when exposed or poorly insulated pipes freeze and crack. If your water flow suddenly stops during a cold snap and then returns with a leak, you’re likely dealing with a freeze-related burst.
Sewage backups
Raw sewage backing up into your home through floor drains, toilets, or tubs is one of the most urgent plumbing emergencies there is. Beyond the immediate mess, sewage creates serious health hazards and can contaminate flooring, drywall, and anything it touches. Backups can be caused by a blocked main sewer line, root intrusion, a collapsed pipe, or a municipal sewer issue. We respond immediately, clear the blockage, and use camera inspections to determine the cause so it doesn’t happen again.
Overflowing toilets
An overflowing toilet that won’t stop running can flood a bathroom in minutes and seep into adjacent rooms, subfloors, and the ceiling below. Sometimes it’s a simple clog that a professional auger can clear. Other times the blockage is further down the drain line or in the main sewer. Either way, we get there fast and stop the overflow before the water damage gets worse.
Major leaks
Not every leak is a slow drip behind the wall. Some leaks are sudden and significant. A failed supply line under a sink, a cracked fitting behind a washing machine, a water heater connection that lets go. If water is actively flowing and you can’t stop it, shut off the nearest valve or your main supply and call us immediately. We’ll find the source, stop the leak, and make the repair.

Emergency shut-off assistance
If you don’t know where your main water shut-off valve is or it won’t turn, we can help. In an active emergency, getting the water stopped is the first priority. We respond to shut-off calls and can also help you locate and test your valves so you’re prepared if something happens in the future.
What to Do During a Plumbing Emergency
The first few minutes of a plumbing emergency make a big difference in how much damage occurs. Here’s what to do while you wait for us to arrive.
If water is actively flowing and you can access your main water shut-off valve, turn it off. This stops all water coming into your home and limits the damage. The valve is usually near your water meter, in the basement, crawl space, or on an exterior wall near the foundation.
If the problem is isolated to one fixture, such as a toilet overflow or a leak under a sink, look for a local shut-off valve on the supply line going to that fixture. Turning it clockwise will stop water to that fixture without shutting off the rest of the house.
If a water heater is leaking or failing, turn off the water supply to the unit and shut off the gas valve or flip the electrical breaker that powers it.
If you smell gas, do not touch any electrical switches, light any flames, or try to locate the source. Leave the home immediately and call your gas company or 911.
Once you’ve done what you can to limit the damage, call us at (801) 335-9197. We’ll get someone to you as fast as possible.
